The Project

Perth Materials Blowing (PMB) was engaged by the City of Gosnells to complete the maintenance mulching of garden beds across Robinson and Lyminge Parks. A total of 150m³ of Pine Bark Mulch was supplied, delivered, and installed — revitalising the park gardens in preparation for summer while maintaining accessibility and safety for the community.

The City required a partner that could handle the entire process — from delivery to installation — without causing disruption to local residents or visitors. PMB was chosen for its proven ability to deliver high-quality results efficiently and safely.

The Challenge

Like many local government maintenance projects, this job came with several practical challenges:

Public access and safety – The parks remained open to the public during works, meaning equipment and logistics needed to ensure pedestrian safety at all times.

Established plants and existing infrastructure – It was critical for us to not disturb or damage any established plants or trees, or any of the existing built environment.

Efficiency – Manual installation would have taken several days and required additional labour and traffic management.

Our Solution

PMB provided a complete end-to-end solution — supplying, installing, and cleaning up all materials without any disruption to the surrounding community.

By parking on residential streets rather than on Corfield Street, PMB eliminated the need for traffic management while maintaining efficient access to all work areas.

Our blower trucks enabled fast, precise mulch installation across the site, with two blower truck teams working in tandem to maximise productivity and minimise time on site. The parks remained open and safe for public use throughout the works.

The Result

The City of Gosnells was delighted with both the pace and quality of the works. The project was completed quickly, cleanly, and without incident — setting a new standard for efficient, low-impact park maintenance.
